Keyring - Traffolyte 40mm valve tag

Keyring - Traffolyte 40mm valve tag
I Love Traffolyte, it reminds me of old power stations where each dial had a raised label. When I was a Cub Scout in the 70’s I was once ‘Cub of the month’ and the plague was covered in Traffolyte!
The material dates back to 1927 when it was first produced for electrical transformer labels, by Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Ltd at their Trafford Park factory in Manchester UK.
So, a lovely company has helped me create these valve tag keyrings - originally made to distinguish the many valves found in factories. These tags help celebrate the opening of Weft’s new website (hence the date 10/20)!
The keyrings are yellow/dark grey/yellow Traffolyte engraved in a circa 1970 typeface that was common in the era. It comes complete with a ball chain that hooks into the pressed steel clip (to ensure they don’t come apart you can squeeze the clip together with a pair of pliers).
